sponsored PostAs a paid Quaker Classroom Ambassador, I’m inviting you to join Quaker in supporting teachers nationwide.

Over the years, I’ve gotten some awesome gifts that I’ve cherished, but I have also gotten some very uh, . . . unique gifts that I haven’t been able to use. (Apple earrings, apple ornaments, apple aprons, apple pins . . . ) While I always appreciated the thought, I always wished I could have less apple and more cool.

We already know that teachers spend thousands of dollars a year to support the learning of the students in their classrooms. Teachers deserve to be recognized and showered with gifts that they will use in their everyday lives. Because of that, I rounded up a list of the COOL gifts teachers will appreciate and use.

Also, from July 7 to Sept. 30, anyone can help teachers supply tools for their classrooms by purchasing specially marked Quaker products and entering the unique package codes online at www.QuakerUpForClassrooms.com. For every code entered online, Quaker will donate $1 to AdoptAClassroom.org up to $250,000 (minimum donation of $150,000).  Plus participants will receive a coupon for $1 off Quaker products. Give the gift of coffee.

Many teachers depend on getting through their day with the help of coffee. A gift to consider giving isn’t just your everyday coffee cup. How about a quirky coffee cup? Give the teacher in your life a coffee cup that has “teacher” written all over it, but in a sassy and fun way. If you don’t want to give a coffee cup, think of the next 6 letters as a subtle hint-– c o f f e e —.

Give the gift of reading humor.

A teacher’s life blood is centered on reading. I love the idea of receiving a fun t-shirt that expresses how important reading is to me. It not only reminds me to relax a little it also send the message out that reading can be fun and enjoyable.

Give a back to school emergency kit.

This is probably one of my favorite gift ideas to help appreciate teachers this back to school season. Creating this kit is easy and the tutorial is very simple to follow. The idea is to give the teacher in your life things they might need to help them in the event of a classroom catastrophe. Adding a Tide stick is one way to support a teacher’s crayon stained shirt emergency.
