Cool Gifts for Teen Girls

Teen girls are growing up, so what they want for holiday, birthday, and Christmas gifts is quite different than when they were younger. I feel you. I have two teen girls! Here are gifts that teen girls will love, according to my daughters, who helped me research and write this blog post.

Cat Goat Cheese Pizza
Groups of teens (mine included) love this easy-to-learn, hilarious game! Race against other players to slap a match between a card and the spoken word. Players must say the words in order (taco, cat, goat, cheese, pizza) and place down a card. IF the card in their hand matches the word they say, then you all smash down your hand. The player who gets rid of all their cards first WINS!
Codenames
This is an exciting word game (think Password) for 2 – 8 players, even better with 4 – 8 players. The gist: two rival spymasters know the secret identities of 25 agents. Their teammates know the agents only by their codenames. Teams compete to see who can make contact with all of their agents first.
Charging Station
This will be so popular — 11 outlets plus 3 USB chargers!! Add in a few extra long charger cords, too!

Anyone else sending a teen girl off to college?
The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo
This story is unbelievably good. I think it would help a LOT of girls to read Xiomara’s story because it will make them think about what it means to be a woman, a poet, a teenager becoming an adult, a mixed-raced individual, a faithful believer… Xiomara’s sick of boys and her parents focusing their attention on her curves. She’s sick of the church rules. She’s just frustrated. And she expresses this frustration not to her family or friends but in verse.

The Selection by Kiera Cass
Well-written and very popular, this book series for teens is about a selection process for the prince to find and marry a princess. Many girls like this love triangle story filled with drama and political intrigue. I didn’t make it through all the books — only the first three — because this type of book isn’t my cup of tea but they’re a great choice for kids who like romance.
Moisture Rescue for All Skin Types
This is hands-down the best oil-free, gel-cream face moisturizer for all skin types, formulated with antioxidant Vitamin C and a Fruit Water Antioxidant Complex.
