I love alphabet books, for all ages of children. They’re a unique opportunity to learn letter sounds as well as consider words, categorizing, and genre writing.  Here are a few of my favorite alphabet books from 2010.

Alphabet Books A Long Piece of String illustrated by William Wondriska Chronicle Books, 2010 picture book

I love this alphabet book and so do my kids! The full page photos and illustrations make this alphabet book engaging. When I went to the website, I found more in this non-fiction series like H is for Honk, C is for Cake, and J is for Jingle-Bells.

A unique twist on the traditional alphabet book – Keith Baker uses peas as characters and illustrates careers for each letter of the alphabet. FUN!
