On the Go With Mrs. P. and Tales2Go

Books AppsHow could I not know about Tales2Go before now? Oh, yeah, no i-gadgets. Until a few months ago when I unofficially adopted my husband’s new iPad for my own so I could get Tales2Go.

Tales2Go is perfect for book-loving families like us — it’s practically a million (or 1,500) audio books for your iPad (or any other i-things.) Books such as classics, folktales, fairy tales, myths, and kids’ favorite book series and characters like American Girl, Clifford, Clementine, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Henry and Mudge, Ivy and Bean, Judy Moody, Goosebumps, Junie B. Jones, Rainbow Magic, and now, the effervescent, Mrs. P. and her stories!

Yes, all the stories from Mrs. P’s award-winning children’s storybook website are now on Tales2Go’s growing library of audio stories. Big news!!

Oh, and the audio stories can be played on your i-device itself or via a docking station, capsule speaker, the AUX channel of a car stereo, or use your ear buds.

“Kids seem to love the classic stories I stream on my free website, but a lot of fans have asked how they can take Mrs. P with them wherever they go,” said TV star Kathy Kinney, who portrays Mrs. P.  “That’s why partnering with Tales2Go is such a natural for us.”

William Weil, co-founder and CEO of Tales2Go says, “The benefits of listening to audio stories include an improved vocabulary and enhanced critical listening and comprehension skills – for readers at all levels.”

Since Tales2Go is even better because Mrs. P. is joining the Tales2Go library, I just knew you’d want to have these stories for your summer reading on the go adventures.

Mrs. P. is made up of Hollywood team Clay Graham, Kathy Kinney and Dana Plautz who want to expose young people to great books and stories through a celebrity storyteller. The Mrs. P. website isn’t only stories but also on-line games and writing contests. Visit the Mrs. P. Magic Library and see for yourself.

I’m just so impressed with the library of books! And so are AJ and JJ – who have are the real true owners of the iPad that Jeff and I will never see again. But, it’s all for books so it’s okay! I love it and think you will too.

WIN a 3-month subscription to Tales2Go — a great way to listen to Mrs. P on-the-go this summer and all the stories in the Tales2Go library.

Myangel has numerous food Allergies which leqve me cutious when it comes to checking out library books. I am constqntly wondering whether or not the last child ate a peanut or nut product before reading the book. Or, has anyone touched an egg then touched this book? These questions often mean that we end up reading books at bookstores or buying the books ourselves…..expensive indeed! If we won this subscriptiion, our angel could enjoy a host of new books this summer. What fun!

We are going to spend a lot of time in the car this summer, so having access to a lot of audio books would really help entertain my daughter!

We are taking our son on his first flight next month and this would be a perfect distraction for the plane and subsequent five hour drive!!

Even though my daughter is 10, her dyslexia means reading is a hard job. We love audio books because she gets the benefits of expanding her vocabulary, and hearing a great tale, without all the struggle. We’d definitely put this subscription to good use.

I “liked” Tales2Go. I couldn’t tell how you listen to a story when you’re away from WiFi, but it implied it was possible.

Tales2Go would be perfect for my kiddo! He is just starting to read independently and is stuck on Dr. Seuss books. The only other books I got him to read were some beginning reader graphic novels on my iPad. For some reason, reading on the iPad makes reading much more fun. Thanks for sharing!

i am having my 6th child any moment now. its just tough to get to read to every single child as much as they would like me to since they all have different interest and books they want. This would help keep everyone happy

We’re a family who loves books! The weight and space books take up requires us to limit packing two or three favorites. It would be magnificent to have a variety of stories to read while traveling and once we reach our destination!!! What a neat service. Thanks for sharing!

Our family loves audio books, but I think we’ve just about exhausted the public library collection. With a newly acquired iPad this would be fantastic!

I have 3 children who love stories. We are going camping quite a bit so it would come in handy to just take the ipad and not a bunch of books. I also secretly want to watch my kids with tales2go and see how they like it and if I could successfully use it in my classroom in the fall. My family would live to win this.
