Artists of All Ages – You’ll Love the Nomad Brush for the iPad

Technology totally amazes me — like the Nomad Brush which works just like a real paint brush on the iPad, only (obviously) without real paint. Originally it was created for professional artists, says Nomad’s PR person, Jen Barth, but the artists soon discovered that their children enjoyed the brushes, too. Now, Nomad is reaching out to younger artists like my daughter, JJ!

About the size of a pencil, the Nomad Brush’s bristles act like paint bristles on paper, capturing the brush stroke movement on the iPad screen. It’s really quite amazing!

Don’t you just love this flower JJ’s painting on the Zen Brush app? She picked the background to be metal which makes the colors really pop.

The brush works with any art application. Some of the apps we tried with the Nomad Brush are:

Art Rage

Drawing Pad

Zen Brush

SketchBook Pro

As an assistant principal in a small rural school this would be a great item for my students to use. We are providing Ipads so some classrooms. Since we have no art this would provide a way for students to create!! I could also use it is an incentive or a reward!
