Go Outside and Play in Your Snow Kitchen

Sometimes we have to be very creative to get our kids outside in the cold winter snow; at least my kids anyway.
IKEA opened in Denver a few months ago and I found these awesome kitchen accessories for cheap and decided to give it to the girls with the impression that it was only for snow cooking.
And it worked! My kids love “cooking” with snow.
Granted, it’s not particularly aerobic but I still count it as outside time.
Plus, they’re creating!
The girls and daddy build a kitchen room with snow bricks.
Now the kids feel lots of motivation to go play in the snow!
Fun, right?
Fun! We actually got very little snow this year in Boston. Usually that makes me happy but now that I see the snow kitchen, I wished we had a tad more!
Makes me miss snowy Denver! Great idea!
I love this!! I am looking for ways for my kids to interact with nature after reading “Last Child in the Woods”!
This looks like so much fun. I can picture my girls pretending to cook in the snow for hours!
I love this idea – great way to spark creativity out in the cold!
