Go Outside and Play in Your Snow Kitchen

Sometimes we have to be very creative to get our kids outside in the cold winter snow; at least my kids anyway.

IKEA opened in Denver a few months ago and I found these awesome kitchen accessories for cheap and decided to give it to the girls with the impression that it was only for snow cooking.

And it worked! My kids love “cooking” with snow.

Granted, it’s not particularly aerobic but I still count it as outside time.

Plus, they’re creating!

The girls and daddy build a kitchen room with snow bricks.

Now the kids feel lots of motivation to go play in the snow!

Fun, right?

  1. This is fab. We’re making an outdoor kitchen and starting to collect our kitchen stuff from the pound stores (same as dollar stores) and ikea. In the summer it will be a mud pie kitchen and if we’re lucky enough to have snow then we can have a snow bakery.
