Easy Accordion Book for Kids

Affiliate Links It’s really easy to make an accordion book that kids can use for writing and drawing. All you need for this project is paper, scissors, and stickers.

This is a variation of the Dog & Star Hinged Accordion project from the very creative new book Making Books with Kids: 25 Paper Projects to Fold, Sew, Paste, Pop, and Draw by Esther K. Smith with illustrations by Jane Sanders and typo-o-graphics by Dikko Faust.

Easy Accordion Book for Kids

Fold a piece of paper in half vertically.

Cut the folded paper in half horizontally.

Stack the folded pages. Use a large sticker to attach the back of one folded page to the front of the other folded page.  Use stickers on the bottom and top of the pages. I used $1 sticker books from the craft store.

Continue attaching the folded papers to make your accordion book as long as desired.

The original accordion book project uses cut pieces of paper and glue, not stickers.

I like this car-theme book, don’t you?

If your child isn’t a car fan, consider attaching the book with thematic stickers of topics that your child likes such as animals, sports, or music.
