Sometimes we all need a little help to stay organized during the busy mornings before school. Before your kids go back to school, make these helpful Backpack Shrinky Dink Zipper Charms to provide a visual reminder of daily must-haves at school. This fun idea is just one of many in The Superkids Activity Guide to Conquering Every Day: Awesome Games and Crafts to Master Your Moods, Boost Focus, Hack Mealtimes, and Help Grown-Ups Understand Why You Do the Things You Do by Dayna Abraham.

The Superkids Activity Guide to Conquering Every Day

Before I get into the project, let me give you a bit more info about The Superkids Activity Guide To Conquering Every Day. Dayna wrote this book to help kids who often are misunderstood, many of whom have sensory processing issues like my eldest daughter. You may know Dayna from her blog, Lemon Lime Adventures. She’s a mom, writer, and teacher whose mission is to empower kids with the tools and skills they need to control their behaviors, explain their feelings, and boost confidence. Not only that, she wants to help parents better understand their children.

The Superkids Activity Guide to Conquering Every Day -- review and activity

The Superkids Activity Guide to Conquering Every Day contains 75 sensory-rich projects related to daily challenges like morning routines, eating new foods, doing homework, and more. The activities are easy to follow with plenty of full-color photographs, step by step directions, and tips for parents. Some of my favorite projects include: Race to the Finish Dinnertime Gameboard, Cool as a Cucumber Calm-Down Kit, Squishy Sight Words, and Crash Landing (a Stuffed Animal Crash Pad).
