New Mind Blowing Brain Games Show: Super Senses

Standing, each of us closes our eyes, slowly bringing one foot off the floor. We’re watching National Geographic Channel’s NEW Brain Games: Super Senses.

When we fall, each person opens their eyes to check the seconds passed. According to Jason Silva, the host of Brain Games, the seconds that lasted will show how old we are.

He’s right.

It’s freaky.

But we love it! Because WHOA — brain science, is fascinating.

And so beings another mind-blowing show from Brain Games, this time on super senses. In this upcoming show you’ll be able to answer the following question more accurately:

Is mind-reading just a footnote in science fiction? Do you believe in mind-reading? Why or why not?

For me, my post-show answer is still no. I don’t believe in mind-reading but do believe in what Brain Games calls micro-observation — a sort of Sherlockian method of reading people. This does appear to be mind-reading! You’ll see on this episode. Again, it’s freaky.

Plus, you’ll learn that we don’t just have five senses. There are more! (Although if you’re like me and have a kiddo with Sensory Processing Issues you already know this.)

And you’ll learn about the connection of memory, motor skills, and the senses. For example, can anyone ride a so-called Backwards Bike? (Turn the handlebar left and the wheel goes right and vice-versa.) Brain Games offers $100 to anyone who can ride it a few yards. Watch to see if a bike courier can or how about a professional BMX racer?
