I’m excited to share about an innovative education conference here in Denver, CO that will help teachers and administrators (you?) get their mojo back.
It’s a conference that will renew your energy and give you inspiration, even if you have to take it back to a constraining environment.
It’s 5 Sigma Edu Conference.
You’ll learn, talk, and apply.
You’ll be treated like rockstars.
You’ll go on learning excursions.
You’ll find ways to transform your education practices.
Who’ll Be There
Besides you and other educators committed to being artistic and thoughtful educators, you’ll learn from . . .
Educator and design keynote speaker Christian Long is the co-founder of Wonder, By Design: A Learning and Design Expedition, the founder of Prototype Design Studio, and the co-author of The Third Teacher: 79 Ways You Can Use Design to Transform Teaching & Learning.
Instructional technology specialist and author of The Missing Voices in Edtech: Bringing Diversity into Edtech, Rafranz Davis, will share how she inspires children to be discoverers, to be passion-based learners.
Kelly Tenkely and the team at Anastasis Academy of teacher, parents, and students will share how the school does school differently with inquiry-based learning. Get a feel for their innovative approach by reading blog posts from the teachers and Kelly. The school is a Christian school but the model for education applies to any type of school in any setting.
Visit the 5Sigma Schedule page to see the line up of speakers.
Discussion & Application
There will be plenty of discussion and processing time, something that has long been absent from conferences. At this conference, you will have TIME to discuss, reflect, and plan for implementation. (Yeah!)
And if you’re concerned about your budget, the website provides a sample letter requesting staff development funds that you can download and adapt.
Why Am I Sharing?
My daughter will be going to this school (Anastasis) next year because I am so in love with what they’re doing for kids!
