Have a Pirate Play Date

Let me introduce myself… my name is Gina, and I have a little blog called East Coast Mommy.  I am so excited to be visiting {here at Imagination Soup} and sharing a little Pirate Fun with you.

Want to play with us?  You can have your own {easy and inexpensive} Pirate Play Date in three simple steps.

Step 1 – Build a pirate ship out of an old box.  {As you can see, it doesn’t have to be fancy.  We cut the top off the box, colored it, and added a paper plate steering wheel and a flag.}
Step 2 – Dress like a pirate.  We had jeans (with holes in them) and old shirts that we cut off to make “pirate shirts and pants”.  We also used a cup and tin foil to make a “pirate hook”.  (I got the idea for the hooks here.)  We added some hats and eye patches out of our dress up box.
Step 3 – Read pirate books, and eat pirate food (peanut butter sandwiches cut out in the shape of fish).
That’s it!  An afternoon full of pirate adventure in three easy steps. I hope you have enjoyed our time together as much as I have.  Feel free to stop by and visit me anytime.  🙂

Gina Bell (aka East Coast Mommy) blogs about her experiences as a SAHM mom of three small boys {which she had in 3 1/2 years!}.  Her blog provides: craft tutorials, organizational tips, ideas for activities to do with your kids, and more. She calls herself “a REAL mom” who likes things that are fun, easy, and inexpensive.
