My Book of Beautiful Oops! by Barney Saltzberg is a hands-on, write-in, decorate-in, scribble-in journal based on the iconic Beautiful Oops! (affiliate link) book. I’m working with Workman Publishing to share this sweepstakes of My Book of Beautiful Oops by Barney Saltzberg!
(Read the author’s post on Imagination Soup about My Beautiful Oops and making your own “beautiful oops” here.)
A “beautiful oops” is knowing that even supposed mess-ups or mistakes can become something wonderful.
In this book, kids are encouraged to create their own beautiful somethings out of the splats and tears of the book’s pages which are folded, crumpled, die-cut, splots of paint, and lift-the-flap pages, just to name a few.
Because the pages are thick and a shiny material, we found it best to use permanent markers but you can use glue, paint, pen, or anything else you want to try.
The book is 52 pages long and available now.
Here’s one of the pages — it started as a splat of purple and became . . . a cow!
