When we got our son a phone last year (age 14) we had a pretty strict set of rules but he still managed to get in trouble so we&#039;ve had to tighten up the rules twice since then (restricting certain apps, having him check in the phone after school so he&#039;s not using it all day long, etc, and we&#039;ve always had rules like the no-bedroom rule.)  But it has definitely caused arguments and been frustrating for him to feel like he&#039;s on such a tight leash.  But he&#039;s such a different person (cheerful, fun) when he&#039;s had a break from his phone!  It&#039;s a hard thing to know what to do as a parent, especially when my teen knows that he&#039;s one of the only ones of his friends with parents with rules about phone use.  Thanks for the post!]]></description>
