Okay, I don’t love you. That would just be weird since I don’t even know you. I do love your books though. A lot.
a fan who loves how you changed the world with your books
See the photograph? It’s me and my five year old with Mo last night at the Tattered Cover Book Store. Mo read from his newest books, Knuffle Bunny Free and Elephant and Piggie We Are In a Book.
Knuffle Bunny Free.
It’s the end of the Knuffle Bunny books which I, for one, am still trying to cope with. Sigh. I won’t spoil the ending if you haven’t read it but be forewarned, you will need tissues. 🙁 I’m still sad.
Question from the audience: Are the Knuffle Bunny stories true?
Mo: “Yes, everything I wrote was true except for the parts I made up.“
Question from the audience: Why did you use photographs (which are actually computerized) with cartoons?
Mo said that he hates drawing backgrounds. He suggested that kids to take photographs of their own houses and use them to write their own stories.
Mo also said to the kids, “Writing is the only time you get to lie. If you life really, really well, it’s a good thing.“
We Are in a Book is the latest Elephant and Piggie book. You’ll notice the first page starts with “thank you” which you’ll only understand after you read it. It is hilarious.
