MindLaunch is a concierge-style, high-quality tutoring service. Not only is it all conveniently virtual, it hand-picks the perfect U.S. licensed, certified teacher to help your K-12 student. It’s mission is to empower children to become adept learners.
In fact, if it doesn’t have the perfect teacher for you, it will search worldwide until it finds one. (But that’s in very rare instances such as trying to learn calculus in Mandarin.)
Who is MindLaunch for?
High school students who are preparing for tests (ISEE, AP, SAT, or ACT).
High school students writing college application essays.
All students who need to learn a particular academic area for whatever reason.
Gifted students who need extra challenging in an academic area.
Homeschoolers who need to learn a certain academic subject.
A student with learning issues, that has a 504 or an IEP who is struggling with something at school.
Who are the MindLaunch tutors?
All the tutoring instructors have at least 5 years of teaching experience.
75% of the tutors have Master’s Degrees, 15% have PhDs.
All go through a rigorous application, interview, and training process including a background check done by the founder of MindLaunch, Elaine Sigal, a master teacher with 42 years teaching experience. She knows about quality instruction and what makes for high-quality teachers.
MindLaunch Tutoring Session
1. You and your instructor can view each other since the session is live and on video.
Each tutoring session is planned out to meet the student goals. This is something you’ll customize with the MindLaunch tutor and principal prior to your sessions.
2. You both see and can write on multiple interactive white boards – I’ve tried it and it’s really cool!
3. The teacher and student can upload and interact with documents and notes.
ALL tutoring sessions are recorded so a parent or child can review the session at any time. Once the session ends, the student and parents receive a post-session report and video of the session. (Also, the sessions are used by MindLaunch to evaluate the tutors.)
I can’t tell you how impressed I am by MindLaunch tutoring. I know it’s not the cheapest tutoring but I believe you get what you pay for — and it’s worth it to pay for quality.
