We just finished reading the Vanderbeeker’s book this week–that was a good pick; we really enjoyed it! Also, this past summer we read the Mabel Jones series as a family and my kids LOVED it and were begging me to read more chapters every night. (Kids ages–7, 8, 10, 13, and 16.) I know you have that one on some of your other lists, but just thought I’d mention. 🙂 Also The Beast and The Bethany was a big hit for us as well.
