Yes to all of this! Another way to incorporate art is with BIG pieces of cardboard and paint. Go outside and prop the cardboard up against a wall or fence. Squirt washable paint onto cookie sheets. (Pro tip – add some clear dishwashing liquid to the paint for much easier clean up.) Add big brushes, those sponge balls on handles for cleaning glasses, pine branches, bath scrubbers – let you imagination run and everything becomes a paint brush. Let kids make a backdrop for their pretend play.
