The gist of this colorful cartoon is that Zoe wants to pretend play play climbing a mountain (also known as a large pile of pillows) with Robot.
Robot tells her, “Zoe, Robot is a robot. Robots do not know how to pretend.”
But Zoe knows how to pretend. And so she does.
Zoe dresses up in mountain climbing gear. She uses a fan to make it windy. She brings imaginary trail mix for snacks. All the while, Robot is still not understanding how to pretend play.
And then something happens that will make you believe that anyone can learn to pretend, even robots. (But, you’ll have to read it for yourself to find out exactly what occurs.)
Wouldn’t the world be a better place if we all regularly used our imaginations?!

*I always played pirates with my best friend, Justin, using garbage lid cans for shields and sticks for swords. Our little sisters got to walk the plank. That was the best part!
