AJ wanted a magician for her birthday party.
But have you seen how expensive they are? Yikes! I said NO until I found a Weekly Plus email for Nickelodeon Entertainer of the Year, Chad Wonder. We booked an hour show plus magic lessons with magic sets for each child at a very affordable price.
Chad Wonder was so entertaining and amazing, I can’t recommend him enough!
When he arrived, we moved the furniture so he had enough room to set up his sparkly red stage set. He set up his sound system and props while the party guests worked on magical word searches and coloring pages.
My normally reluctant-to-participate birthday girl got to be the magician’s helper. Willingly. With delight.
“Wow,” I said to my husband.
Neither of us had never seen AJ laugh so hard in her life!
Magician Birthday Party
Something crazy is going on with the magic wands here.
Chad Wonder wasn’t just about magic tricks — he was seriously funny. He just cracked everyone up, including the adults.
Ut-oh! He’s poking something through her head now– watch out!
AJ did opt out of getting cut in half. The volunteer she chose to replace her was so excited until she saw the sharp blade. Then she looked terrified. I’m happy to tell you that she did leave the party in one piece though.
And, after the show, we ate cake — which AJ made and decorated herself (with a little mixing assistance from mom and sister.) Her cake creation was a broomstick in the air. I can’t begin to explain how proud she was of her cake. Knowing this, I’ll never buy a professionally decorated cake again.
Once we were done eating, the magician, Chad Wonder, passed out the magic kids and taught all the kids how to do each trick. What fun! Parents told me later that their kids were performing the tricks non-stop for days! and days. and d-a-y-s.
All the kids told us it was the best party they’d ever been to.
