Hello Melissa-
I came across your summer class schedule of various writing classes. I am wondering what your experience and credentials are in teaching children. I would be interested in signing up for a few of the classes for my child:
Pop-Up Books, 2-Day Workshop, Beginnings & Endings, Silly-Gross & Weird Stories, Finding your Voice.
Can you explain briefly your approach and what we can expect in the classes. Also, where is this class located? Is it offered in your home and how many kids/class/session.
Thankyou, I look forward to hearing from you soon
Christine
Christine got an email from me but I thought it would be helpful to answer her questions here as well.
My classroom is in my home near Dry Creek and Holly in Centennial, Colorado.
Classes will be no more than 8 students.
Finally, my approach . . . I want to make writing fun for kids – and so my classes involve high interest topics like pets or science. It makes the writing easier to write about something you already like.
We talk, plan, write, share and celebrate our growth as writers. Every session, your child will bring home a finished product in a hardbound book.
Hi Melissa,
We’re soooo glad you’re offering classes again this summer. Cambria can’t wait to come! She had so much fun last year, and is already planning which classes to attend this year. We’ll be in touch soon before you fill up! Thanks!
