PRINTABLE LIST

Princess Pink review We love fantasy and funny stories so one of our favorite BRANCHES series is Princess Pink and the Land of Fake-Believe by Norah Z. Jones. It’s familiar fairy tale stories that are messed up. Because in the original story was Goldilocks but in this series, it’s Moldylocks. Or instead of pigs, it’s pugs — The Three Little Pugs. Plus, we love the cartoon-like illustrations with dialogue bubbles. Eerie Elementary review Although my kids don’t really enjoy spooky, I would add Eerie Elementary by Jack Chabert and illustrated by Sam Ricks to my list of favorites — it’s actually not too scary at all. Sam isn’t thrilled about becoming a hall monitor. Especially when he discovers that the school is ALIVE and trying to harm him and the other students. Sam has quite a wild adventure trying to save the students from the school. I think kids who like sort of scary things (it’s not too bad) will enjoy this book. I love how Sam and his friends must save the students from THE SCHOOL. Can you imagine?! Box set of 6 books here.

  1. Melissa, Do you have a printable list of the Branches books? I did not see a link.

  2. Chapter books are wonderful for young teens! I remember loving series of the Box Car Children and Nancy Drew when I was young. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
