A Sorting Pie Math Game for Kids

After delving into comics for a week, I want to jump back into something different — a cool education toy that I’ve just discovered. It’s the Super Sorting Pie, a learning-based toy, which inspires creative play and learning. My kids loved, loved, loved it.

You can play a sorting game — sort by colors or sort by types of fruit — a great activity for kids, especially preschoolers.

Math Game for Kids

But, there is so much more to play using this toy . . .

– Pie shop

– Restaurant

– Graphing

– Counting

– Picking up things with tweezers

– Speed tweezering

– Anything else you can think of

Oh, the fun. And, do you know that my nine-year old carried it around for an entire weekend – to grandma’s house and back? So, even though it says for preschool, this toy entices anyone, even big kids, to play and imagine.

Math Game for Kids

The Super Sorting Pie  is a fun math game for kids that includes 60 counters — 5 different colors of apples, bananas, grapes, oranges, grapefruits, apricots and plums, 3 double-sided sorting cards, 2 jumbo tweezers, and an Activity Guide. plus the durable plastic pie (8.75″ in diameter) with a removable divider.

Bananas! We recently had a cyclone that wiped out all of our bananas and had to quit eating them for a while. Now we are able to get a few for special occasions – and my kids will eat it up more than icecream or any other treat because it’s such a precious commodity here.

Not sure I can pick a favorite fruit! It changes with the season! If I had to choose that I could only have one for the rest of my life I would say grapes/raisins. They seem to be the most year round fruit that I will eat almost every day if available!

I like bananas…. They can be grilled, eaten raw, and you can put peanut butter on them. What isn’t amazing about them?

Oh.. and they make great pretend phones.
