Yamodo Word Game for Parties and Family Fun

Yamodo is a clever game of imagination where you and your kids (ages 8 +) must invent interesting definitions for nonsense words AND draw a picture (or a scrawl or doodle). Your definition will be judged by the “Chief Imaginator” — and the winner with the best definition gets a point. Also, before the play starts, the Chief Imaginator picks a theme for the words.

surgical procedure

seeing red

against the grain

And here are a few examples of silly words:

hoobio

lopalop

javalation

I love the idea of this game and we are thoroughly enjoying playing it! I for one can use some creative brain exercises in my life!!

There are more variations of the game – check the Yamodo! website for all the Yamodo! game options.

we love making up new and silly words, so this game would be great for us. Sometimes my son combines words from Japanese and English together to make a new word. Yamodo even sounds like IT could be a Japanese word.

played at a friend’s house – it was a blast. Okay so I won, I may be a bit biased. But how much fun for all ages. Gets the creative juices going – great fun watching how other people’s brain process, sometimes very similar to my own, sometimes completely different! Gives me even more ideas for the next word.
