Walk On! a guide for babies of all ages by Marla Frazee is perfect for older “babies” – ones with drivers licenses, mortgages and kids. These babies, like any of us, might be stepping into a new time in their lives and need the encouragement to “walk on”.
Recently, I gave Walk On! to a friend for her 40th birthday and another for her 50th. Both loved it as much as I’d hoped they would.
Here’s a quote from the book that I used as my inscription –
“When the ti
me is right for you . . .
Take the first step.
And another.
And another.
It gets easier, huh?”
Know anyone who needs that encouragement for a life transition?

This book sounds enticing at many levels. There are so many life passages (thank you Gail Sheehy) that in our society are not acknowledged.
Hmmm, I love children’s books that help me look at all the existential questions I have.
I love this book. Marla Frazee is my hero.
Sounds like a great book, and a great gift for encouraging us to celebrate life’s milestones!
My friend, Kristen, uses it in her second grade class. I think she lifts the text and has the kids expand with pictures. Sounds fun, doesn’t it!?
