Imagination Soup Update

05 Mar | 4 Comments »

Well, readers,

I love how supportive you all are, thank you.

Don’t worry, I’m not going to make any major changes.   However, I’ve decided to focus more on literacy and books and not post more on science and math.  Knowing me, I’ll tie in science and math to literacy anyway – but narrowing my blogging focus will help me from getting too scattered and overwhelmed.

If you’d like to guest post, write me and let’s talk — I’m very open to sharing my blog with other experts!

Thanks everyone!  Keep in touch,

Melissa

I hope you’ll instill in children the power of turning to books versus other media to learn creative problem-solving skills. Imagination Soup rocks!

I’d love to write a post and introduce the power of pet therapy and dogs as tools to enhance children’s reading. Brandy and Val visit libraries and participate in “Read to Rover” programs where children read to the dogs; we also work with autistic children. As far as our Real Dogs with Real Tales book series is concerned, I believe that children (toddlers starting out to read) who are engaged or who can relate to the pictures or tales of a book will want to continue reading. I believe our books foster this. I’ve been following your site and think that Imagination Soup’s mission of finding unique ways to engage children to read and explore is very well suited to that of Brandy and Val, LLC.
