Rockin’ rock art

Ever gone hiking with a three year old?  It’s all about the rocks!  And guess who gets to carry them home?ph03957i 150x150 Rockin’ rock art (me)

We have rocks – from really basic,  gravel rocks to crystal beauties.  My kids love their rocks.

But, is a painted rock even better?  Imagine a rainbow rock!  It’s colorful, abstract, and requires virtually no adult help.

Maybe pet rocks will come back into style.  Carry your rock to school – to the grocery store – to the library – home – everywhere.  Hypo-allergenic and a great listener. (If it only cooked, it would be the perfect husband!)

Fun.  Easy.  Beautiful.  All you need are rocks, paint, and brushes.  Oh, and a little imagination.

Something we did to help the paint (and googly eyeballs) stay on the rocks is painting on a couple coats of Modge Podge. Then the rock had this nice shiny look and the eyes stayed in place. Pet rocks are fun!
