Kids can easily write a list poem using their powers of observation. First, have them look around and write a list of words down the side of their paper.
Write a list of nouns that you see.
Everything
You
See
Like
The
Park
Or
The
Backyard
Then add verbs to all those things. What are those things doing?
Grass grows
Trees whisper
Flowers bathe
Voila! You have written a poem!
OR you can add adjectives in front of the nouns like this:
golden grass
lavender flowers
speedy ants

To write a poem
It is really easy
Just think for something
And keep your imagination busy
What a great “poem writing” technique! Will have to try it with my daughters
