Learning the Alphabet

Is your child learning the alphabet? Keep things mixed up with a variety of activities like . . .
- the alphabet song
- magnetic letters – Fridge Phonics from Leap Frog is great
- Leap Frog’s Letter Factory video (recommended by a friend)
- alphabet board book
- spelling own name
- alphabet cookies, soup, snacks
- play dough alphabet shapes
- alphabet beads for jewelery
- alphabet puzzles
- “What starts with a D, duh, duh, duh sound?” game (etc.)
- alphabet bingo
- spot letters all around – “Can you find a G?”
Any other ideas? Please share!

I really like the Leap Frog Fridge Phonics Letter toys. The one where you spell 3 letter words is my favorite. I really think it helped my oldest son get an early start on reading.
I never knew about the 3 letter options. Sounds great! Thanks for the tip.
lol most of the opinions visitors post are silly and unrelated, time after time i ponder whether they realistically read the articles and reviews and items before leaving your 2 cents or whether they take a moment to skim the post title and craft the very first idea that drifts into their minds. anyhow, it really is good to read smart commentary now and then in contrast to the very same, old post vomit that i commonly see on the web i’m going to enjoy a smattering of rounds of zynga poker adios
